Intern | The Grand Oshkosh
June 2020- Present
Reopening the Theater: After COVID-19 shutdowns, I assisted in writing public statements about reopening procedures and designed signage for the theater to use in policy enforcement.
Content Creation: I worked on communication for fundraising and community outreach throughout the 2020-2021 Season. This included social media posts, video production, copy writing, and material designs (brochure, playbill, posters).
Ghost Seats Fundraising Campaign: I created and executed the Ghost Seats fundraising campaign during times of distanced seating which included planning and designing social media content, posters, and other designs for it to engage the community. During October (Spooky Season), we got local businesses involved as Community Ghost Hunters in a cross-promotion campaign.
Event Planning: On the day of show, I assisted in the Box Office and assisted streaming patrons as the Live Stream Technical Support Hotline throughout the performances.
Box Office: I also worked in the Box Office assisting customers in ticket purchases and refunds while utilizing Showare's ticket management system.
Fundraising: Additionally, I assisted in planning and execution of two additional fundraising campaigns (Holiday Campaign & United We Grand). Along with this, I created content for promotion including multiple videos (see here).
Event Producer | Centertainment Productions
March 2019 - Present
As an event producer, I am independently responsible for selecting, promoting, producing, and evaluating a variety of events to best fit the needs and desires of the student population. Weekly, I communicate with agents and artists and oversee all aspects of the successful planning of each event.
I have had large successes with my events as I incorporate unique ideas to get more people interested in attending. There is a feeling of exhilaration when watching an event from start to finish and see attendees having a great time.
Reopening Plans/Procedures: I also hopped back on the staff in the summer of 2020 after quarantine to work on the reopening procedures of the CASE office (Centertainment's parent office) and help transition the office into the next school year.
Marketing Coordinator & Event Manager |
Stevens Point Festival of the Arts
July 2019 - Present
I was hired on with the Stevens Point Festival of the Arts in a big year of change. After 47 years at the Noel Fine Arts Center on UW-Stevens Point's campus, it was decided to move the event's location. This created a huge push for increased advertisements and messaging about the organization’s mission. Most of the community believed Festival of the Arts was a UW-Stevens Point event, rather than it being its own nonprofit 501 (c) (3) that receives no affiliation funding from a larger organization.
Crafting Messages: A large part of my marketing plan focused on the move, and the continued need for support of the artists. While many community members had concerns with the move, I focused messaging on the opportunity for growth that comes with change. I did so in press releases, a social media campaign, grant applications, website statements, and paid advertisements.
Event Managing: About a month before the 2020 festival, the event manager stepped away from the council, and I stepped up into that role as well. I became the spokesperson for the festival and was the day-of-show contact for the show.
Crisis Communication: Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 restrictions, the event had to be postponed. This situation gave me the opportunity to craft and send out official statements for the artists and general public. All advertisements had to be canceled and I internally reported on how this impacted our finances. Ultimately, the 48th Annual Festival of the Arts was pushed to 2021. Then, in October 2020, we made the decision to use 2021 as a sabbatical year. I continue to look for more possibilities to reach our larger communities.
Website: I created a new website over this sabbatical for the festival through GoDaddy. View it here.
Fundraising: I recently launched the 48 donations fundraising campaign in November, 2020 to sustain the Festival of the Arts until 2022. The goal is to get 48 donations of any size.
Marketing Coordinator | Hidden Studios Art Tour
November 2019- Present
Website: I created a new website for Hidden Studios Art Tour through GoDaddy. View it here.
Promotion: My main duties include digital and traditional promotion. I am in charge of communication with the public and media. This includes press releases (see here), public statements, social media content creation & copy writing, and video production.
Gone Virtual: I spearheaded the transition from physical to virtual this year (2020) in a new format "Hidden Studios Art Tour: Staying Connected". Aspects of the tour included 17 feature videos (up to 15 minutes each), live artist demos through Zoom, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live, discussion sessions through Zoom, and an online marketplace. Every aspect of this was organized and executed by myself while working with the 20 artists and coordinating it all.
Video Production: View the full collection of videos here.

Gallery Intern | Gallery Q Artist Cooperative
January 2019-June 2019
I entered the internship not knowing much about the gallery, and realizing most of the community was in the same position as I was. There was a steady stream of customers, but not a diverse or changing group by any means. Throughout my internship, I worked on more ways to connect the gallery with Stevens Point.
Event Planning: I assisted with two gallery changeovers. This included the physical change (tear down and set up of the exhibits), promotion (digitally and traditionally), and assistance at the event.
Basketry Show Press Release (Published Version).
Creation Stories Show (Published Version).
Promotion: I executed a variety of promotion in my marketing campaign. This included press releases, social media management (Instagram and Facebook), and media relations. I got the gallery to a place on social media platforms where there was steady traffic and gained nearly 100 followers in the 16-week period.
Show Posters
Website: Arguably, the biggest impact I had on the gallery was the creation of a new website. This can be found here
Reopening Plans/Procedures 2020: I also helped the gallery the Summer of 2020 as a freelance marketing coordinator to help with reopening procedures, the launch of an online store, and other promotional insight.
Company Intern | Point Dance Ensemble
July 2019- March 2020
Point Dance Ensemble celebrated its 20th season of connecting the Stevens Point community with dance, and it was my job to help plan and promote the three performances put on.
Grant Writing: I worked on multiple grants including on for the Wisconsin Arts Board and the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin.
Feature Article: I also wrote a feature article about the organization’s partnership with Arts for ALL Wisconsin and the impact these collaborations have on the community.
Education
University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point
Bachelor of Arts: Arts Management
2017-2020
I am currently finishing up my senior year at UWSP and am set to graduate in 3 1/2 years. I am an Arts Management Major with Communication and Business Administration Minors.
On campus, I am an Event Producer with Centertainment Productions and plan a variety of events open to students and community members.
The summer of 2019, I had the fortunate opportunity to study abroad in Greece and learn about the arts, culture, cuisine, sustainable projects many communities had, and take a course in communication (journalism). I had taken 2 classes on Ancient Greek art and to see many of those artifacts and historic places in person was surreal.
I also serve as the Treasurer for UWSP's chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America. Last year, I served as a promotion assistant for the organization and blog writer.
I hold a 4.0 GPA and am a member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society on campus since 2018.
